COTTOn 2 – Saturn Tribute sends witch Cotton and the brash princess Appli across the Pumpkin Kingdom after the treasured Bluewater Willow disappears. Beneath its cheerful fantasy art and comedy-driven cast sits a demanding arcade action game, where enemy waves, hazardous scenery, and large bosses keep the screen constantly active. The mood stays playful rather than grim, but surviving its later stages still requires sharp reactions and a willingness to learn its systems.

Players guide their chosen heroine through side-scrolling stages, firing standard attacks, collecting power-ups, and using magical commands to clear packed formations or escape danger. Colored crystals and special attacks add more tactical choice than a simple hold-the-fire-button shooter, rewarding players who recognize when to spend resources and when to preserve them for a boss. Runs are built around score chasing as well as survival, with aggressive play and smart item collection pushing higher rankings.
