Progress comes from searching large connected areas for clues, keys, tools, and puzzle solutions while staying alive long enough to use them. You move between waking Farland and a distorted sleep world, with each reality revealing different routes, objects, and answers to the same problems. Encounters with the clown and other creatures demand caution and quick reactions, but exploration and environmental puzzles remain the main focus. Puzzles offer two difficulty settings, and their solutions can vary between playthroughs, making observation more valuable than blindly memorizing a guide.
