A corporate system reduces a man to collateral, and the result is a compact cyberpunk thriller with a sharp comic-book identity. You play Evan Kapnos, an ordinary citizen whose digital existence is suddenly revoked: his employment, city credentials, bank access, and neural hardware no longer belong to him. With powerful interests moving to sell off what remains, Evan pushes through a hostile metropolis while uncovering why he has been targeted. The mood is slick, paranoid, and stylish rather than open-world sprawling, telling its story through animated panels, speech bubbles, and dramatic camera framing.

Combat mixes third-person shooting with upgradeable psychic abilities and environmental hacking. Evan’s adaptable sidearm accepts different firing modes, allowing explosive shots, rapid-fire bursts, and other useful variations as encounters become more demanding. Skill points improve his implants, eventually granting telekinesis for lifting enemies or throwing heavy objects, plus hacking powers that trigger traps and turn opponents’ own augmentations against them. The campaign moves at a brisk, largely linear pace through combat arenas, guarded facilities, and story-focused interludes, with occasional light puzzles and interactive sequences breaking up the firefights.

Its strongest feature is the presentation: gameplay frequently shifts between full-screen action and comic panels without making cutscenes feel detached from the action. FORECLOSED also makes its central premise matter mechanically, since Evan’s stolen identity and implanted technology shape both the plot and the tools at his disposal. It is a shorter, focused adventure that favors visual flair and momentum over deep role-playing choices, extensive exploration, or endlessly replayable systems. Players who enjoy the neon oppression of Deus Ex, the panel-driven style of comic fiction, or straightforward abilities-based shooters will find plenty to like, while veterans should approach it for its distinctive atmosphere rather than demanding tactical depth.
