Battles play out in deliberate turn-based encounters where unit positioning, class abilities, gear, and team composition matter more than quick reactions. You recruit mercenaries from both factions, then develop them through level-up choices, skill paths, weapons, armor, and loot collected from enemies or purchased in settlements. Traveling the open map means visiting cities, mines, camps, outposts, and other points of interest, while companions also contribute useful talents outside combat when establishing camp or handling events.
