Hell Dive casts you as Daniel, a maritime operative cut off from support after disaster leaves him stranded near COLONY 1265, an abandoned seabed mining settlement. Nine linked facilities sit in the dark water like rusting tombs, each holding damaged systems, vital records, and another piece of the colony’s disturbing history. The mood is cold, isolated, and oppressive, leaning on deep-ocean dread rather than cheap spectacle.

Daniel navigates the colony in first person, using his submarine to locate installations across the ocean floor before entering their sealed, failing interiors. The central loop revolves around restoring essential functions, scavenging what equipment and resources remain, operating environmental devices, and retrieving data that explains why everyone disappeared. Survival pressure comes from more than lurking creatures: drowning, oxygen loss, fires, hazardous machinery, and the hostile conditions of the deep can end a run just as quickly.
