Hindsight 20/20 – Wrath of the Raakshasa follows Jehan as conflict between two kingdoms forces him to confront the ideals of his former home and decide what kind of person he becomes. Its tone is serious but not simplistic: enemies, townsfolk, and major bosses all occupy moral grey areas rather than fitting neatly into hero and villain roles. The central appeal lies in seeing violence, mercy, and hesitation leave visible marks on the world.

Combat asks for a deliberate choice before every encounter. Jehan can carry a sword to kill opponents permanently or use a stun rod to subdue them, turning ordinary action-RPG fights into ethical decisions with lasting consequences. Towns change state, NPCs remember how Jehan behaves, and later interactions reflect the reputation he builds through both major decisions and routine battles. The game’s Experience Engine tracks these actions, then adjusts story beats and gameplay circumstances accordingly, while its replay structure lets players revisit earlier moments and make different calls.

What separates Hindsight 20/20 from many branching RPGs is that morality is tied directly to the player’s combat habits rather than reserved for scripted conversation wheels. A spared foe and a defeated foe can produce genuinely different versions of the same journey, making repeat runs feel like investigations into outcomes you previously locked away. Ten endings reward experimentation, with several routes standing apart rather than merely changing a closing scene.
