House of Lizards

An intentionally ridiculous Slavic-flavored action adventure, House of Lizards casts you as a Great Ancient Knight infiltrating a reptilian stronghold for the good of your fellow warriors. The mission mixes spy work, artifact recovery, and outright destruction: gather intelligence, reclaim five ancient manuscripts, stock up on Baikal Water, and erase every lizard base you find. Its tone is knowingly overblown rather than serious, built around exaggerated heroes, mythic imagery, and an invasion plot involving ancient technology. Cutscenes lean into that absurd energy, making the campaign feel like a strange low-budget cult action movie.

The action sends you across four principal areas and two bonus locations, each occupied by more than fifteen varieties of lizard enemies. You choose from five Great Knights, giving the campaign a reason to revisit encounters with a different hero, while summoned allies such as Billyslav Herringtonov, Ivan Darkholmov, and the god Perun provide extra support during the assault. Progress revolves around clearing hostile bases, locating key collectibles, and pushing deeper into the Lair while maintaining the momentum of a compact arcade-style campaign. Ancient Slavic spacecraft, supposedly built from stolen lizard science, add another layer of bizarre lore to the setting and reinforce the game’s deliberately chaotic personality.

What separates House of Lizards from a conventional indie action title is its complete commitment to its meme-heavy premise. Rather than aiming for grounded fantasy, it combines knightly warfare, reptile conspiracies, mystical manuscripts, canned drinks, and divine backup into one deliberately unhinged package.
