Its story runs alongside the familiar Jaws setting, but the real appeal lies in turning the usual shark-hunting fantasy upside down. One moment you stalk swimmers beneath sunlit waves; the next, you tear through docks, boats, and armed pursuers in a full-blown coastal panic.

Movement centers on swimming freely through interconnected waters, using speed bursts, biting attacks, tail swipes, and evasive dives to hunt prey or escape danger. Missions range from simple feeding sprees and timed escapes to destroying specific targets, battling sea life, and surviving attacks from boats and larger weapons. Carnage earns upgrade points, which improve Jaws’ strength, durability, speed, and attack options, making later encounters with hunters and military hardware more manageable. Between story objectives, free-roam areas let you cause chaos at your own pace, search for food, and experiment with how much of the environment can be turned into wreckage.
