A pristine, tightly controlled metropolis becomes a thrilling obstacle course in this first-person action adventure about speed, surveillance, and survival. When her sister is framed for murder, the job turns personal, sending Faith through a stark white city punctuated by bold primary colors and sudden bursts of violence. Mirror’s Edge stands apart because it makes the city itself feel like the main challenge and the main tool. Its clean architectural style remains distinctive, and the sense of momentum is powerful once Faith’s moves start flowing together without hesitation. Some combat encounters and trial-and-error leaps show the game’s age, but its focus on first-person parkour still feels refreshingly direct compared with more combat-heavy action games. Fans of Dying Light’s freerunning, Titanfall’s movement, or speedrunning challenges find plenty to enjoy, while newcomers should expect a short but demanding campaign built around practice, precision, and keeping their nerve at dizzying heights.
