A celestial coup turns the familiar war between Heaven and Hell into an uneasy partnership, with angels and demons sharing the same desperate objective: stop the Titans before reality collapses. Monster Train 2 is a roguelike deck-builder built around defending a multi-floor infernal locomotive as it pushes through the Abyss, Hell, and occupied Heaven. Its mood is colorful and witty rather than bleak, but battles demand careful planning as monstrous invaders climb toward the vulnerable Pyre at the top of your train.

Each run begins by pairing clans and shaping a deck around their distinct mechanics, whether that means aggressive damage, durable blockers, spell chains, status effects, or elaborate sacrifice-based combos. Fights play out across three train floors, forcing you to decide where units stand, which lane receives upgrades, and when a single card is worth spending precious energy on. New Room cards alter an entire floor with permanent tactical benefits, while Equipment cards transform individual troops into much stronger specialists. Between encounters, route choices, shops, unit recruitment, card upgrades, and unexpected events steadily push a modest starter deck toward a wildly efficient endgame engine, while escalating Covenant-style difficulty keeps mistakes costly.
