What separates Resident Evil 7 from many modern horror shooters is its willingness to slow down and make vulnerability the point. First-person perspective turns familiar series staples—herbs, keycards, strange mechanisms, and biological monstrosities—into far more immediate threats, while the estate’s shifting visual themes prevent the setting from becoming repetitive.
