Four starting heroes—the durable Warrior, spell-focused Mage, stealthy Rogue, and ranged Huntress—give each attempt a distinct identity.

Combat unfolds in deliberate, turn-based encounters where positioning, doorways, surprise attacks, and resource conservation matter as much as raw damage. Players search five dungeon zones across 26 floors, identify unknown potions and scrolls through experimentation, manage hunger, disarm or exploit traps, and decide whether an item is worth risking their limited inventory space. Leveling unlocks a large talent system, while successful runs eventually branch into subclasses and powerful late-game abilities that substantially reshape a character’s tactics.
