A ruined holiday resort at the edge of the galaxy turns apocalypse tourism into a gleefully messy twin-stick shooter. Slaycation Paradise sends interdimensional visitors through portals to alternate Earths that have already gone horribly wrong, from zombie-ridden suburbs to hellish wastelands swarming with mutants. The tone is knowingly absurd: cheery vacation advertising clashes with rivers of blood, collapsing worlds, and a huge body count. Beneath the jokes sits a fast, colorful survival game that treats every end-of-the-world scenario like a package tour built around guns and carnage.

Players drop into compact top-down maps, complete objectives, rescue survivors, collect valuables, and fight to hold out against escalating monster attacks. Combat relies on responsive dual-stick shooting and a generous arsenal of firearms, explosives, and strange sci-fi tools, while enemy crowds demand constant movement and quick target prioritization. The key feature is the Construction Assembly Turret kit, which lets you place turrets, barricades, traps, and other defenses almost anywhere, turning open spaces into improvised kill zones before the next horde arrives. Successful runs earn rewards for upgrades and new equipment, and the challenge rises as later destinations throw denser waves, nastier enemy types, and more demanding objectives at you.

Its best idea is the blend of arcade shooting and flexible tower defense rather than treating building as a separate mode. Defensive placement matters, but the game never asks you to sit back and watch: you remain in the thick of the fight, repairing a bad plan with aggressive gunplay when monsters break through. Cartoonish visuals, warped tourist-brochure humor, and varied apocalyptic backdrops give each mission more personality than a standard arena survival shooter.
