Choice is the real weapon here, and Sultan’s Game refuses to frame cruelty as consequence-free power fantasy. Relationships remember exploitation, spouses and allies can turn against you, and even pragmatic decisions may corrode the character you are trying to preserve. Randomized card sequences keep repeated campaigns tense, while branching routes support radically different ambitions, from becoming an indispensable court official to killing the Sultan, forging an independent refuge, or unleashing supernatural ruin.
