A plague-ravaged medieval world forms the battleground for a grim 2D action platformer built around demon hunting, religious terror, and old-school danger. Ruy, the last Templar knight, cuts through the undead and monstrous forces released by the Red Plague while the brutal Knights of the Three Suns hunt supposed witches across the countryside. Templar 2 carries the bleak atmosphere of a dark fantasy comic, moving from haunted woods and wrecked settlements to oppressive castles and gore-stained underground passages. Its 16-bit-inspired presentation gives the violence and supernatural imagery a distinctly 1990s action-game feel.

Sword combat sits at the center of the adventure, asking players to fight mercenaries, armored knights, demons, and larger boss encounters while navigating side-scrolling stages. Progress comes from finding or buying stronger armor, consumables, and enchanted equipment, with fallen enemies leaving behind coins, potions, and useful magical rewards. What separates Templar 2 from a straightforward retro platformer is its mix of branching exploration, loot-driven character growth, and a story delivered through anime-style scenes and dozens of comic-book pages. Its world is harsher and more deliberately paced than a typical arcade-style hack-and-slash, leaning toward the exploratory tension associated with classic dark metroidvanias rather than constant spectacle. English and Spanish voice work, alongside English, Spanish, and Portuguese text options, make its gothic tale accessible to a wider audience.
