Micropolis offers Cyrus the ordinary fresh start he wants, then tears that plan apart with a strange power that sends him between reality and a realm of floating islands. Cyrus’s search for answers becomes a conflict involving rival factions, ancient magic, and the future of two connected places. Progress revolves around traveling between worlds, speaking with inhabitants, making consequential choices, and venturing into hazardous encounters where defeat and risk are part of the design. Battles use a turn-based, position-sensitive system: movement, enemy placement, and the order in which abilities are used matter as much as raw damage. Spells acquired through the magic of the Veds can be combined into specialized loadouts, encouraging players to build around synergies rather than relying on one reliable attack. Between expeditions, Cyrus develops the Troglodyte village, opening new facilities and powers, while random events can place blessings or debilitating curses on him for the remainder of a run.
