A rural Japanese town rots beneath the memory of its former craft: beautiful handmade dolls that now feel more like witnesses than souvenirs. Welcome to Doll Town casts you as Yumi, a student taking an ordinary shift at the last convenience store still operating in a settlement emptied by tragedy. Abandoned schools, workshops, streets, and shrines become stages for a creeping supernatural mystery tied to dead students, cursed figures, and a relationship that ended in horror. The mood favors quiet unease over constant shocks, letting silence, empty spaces, and the suggestion of something watching do much of the frightening work.

Yumi investigates the town through third-person exploration, moving between deserted outdoor areas and claustrophobic interiors while following clues embedded in the environment. Notes, locations, visual details, and cinematic side-on sequences gradually assemble the story, asking players to pay attention rather than simply sprint toward the next scare.
