A cheerful little automobile with two springy legs turns racing into a physics-comedy adventure where the finish line is rarely the whole story. WHAT THE CAR? sends its wheeled hero across bright islands packed with obstacle courses, absurd errands, secret routes, and jokes that land because the game commits completely to its nonsense. One moment you are sprinting over ramps and bouncing across gaps; the next, you are scaling a vertical wall, strapping on a jetpack, or attempting an activity no sensible vehicle should attempt. Its tone is playful, unpredictable, and deliberately chaotic rather than competitive in the traditional sim-racing sense.

Most levels revolve around reaching a goal as quickly as possible, but each introduces a new twist that changes how your car moves or what it needs to do. The legs provide much of the challenge, turning basic acceleration into a balance of jumping, landing, momentum, and recovering from spectacular tumbles. Open island areas break up the bite-sized courses with collectibles, hidden treasures, friendly characters, and simple environmental puzzles, rewarding players who wander off the obvious route. Its colorful, toy-like presentation and compact challenges make it easy to pick up for a few minutes, although completionists can spend far longer uncovering secrets and improving runs. A level creator and community-made courses add another layer for players who enjoy building ridiculous tracks or testing themselves against stranger ideas than the campaign can provide. Fans of the offbeat puzzle-platforming energy of Octodad, Untitled Goose Game, or the inventive course design of Trials will find plenty to enjoy, and newcomers need only a tolerance for cheerful nonsense and failed jumps.
