Players take the role of apprentices serving Trismegistus, an eccentric alchemist who has managed to imprison himself and, naturally, seal his students in with him. Its fantasy setting draws on the strange tools, symbols, and ingredient lore associated with historical alchemy while giving them a colorful supernatural purpose.

Progress revolves around investigating rooms, examining unusual devices, locating ingredients, and interpreting clues hidden in the master’s workshop.
