Combat asks Ezra to make deliberate commitments rather than simply mash attacks. The GIGASWORD hits hard, clears hostile fiends, and can shove objects around the environment, but its enormous weight also affects movement and creates the central puzzle hook: leave it behind to move freely, or carry it when brute force is required. Players climb through interconnected tower chambers by operating switches, holding down floor mechanisms, moving blocks, avoiding environmental hazards, and locating routes that were previously unreachable. New tools and powers, including electrical attacks, ground-traveling sparks, and a grappling hook, expand both Ezra’s combat options and the kinds of traversal challenges the tower presents, while bosses demand careful dodging and an understanding of the available arsenal.

Nestrium stands out because its sword is more than a weapon or a key; it is a physical problem that constantly changes how rooms are approached. That idea gives familiar Metroidvania backtracking a more tactical feel, rewarding players who inspect their surroundings and reconsider old paths after gaining abilities. The world’s ruined-city premise and demon-infested tower lean into a serious, oppressive atmosphere rather than colorful platforming charm. Fans of the exploration structure of Castlevania and the environmental problem-solving of Zelda should find plenty to like, especially if they enjoy combat that shares equal space with clever room-based puzzles.
