Hidden Shelter (v1.0)

A blinding flash, a wrecked car, and a missing friend set the nerves jangling long before the forest mansion reveals its worst secrets. Hidden Shelter is a first-person exploration horror game built around isolation, uncertainty, and the dread of hearing something move beyond your sightline. Charles and Bernard emerge from the crash separated from Diego, Bernard’s older brother, then make the dangerous decision to seek answers at an abandoned house hidden among the trees. What begins as a search-and-rescue effort quickly becomes a fight to survive a place scarred by murder, loss, and an apparently unending curse.

Most of the tension comes from searching the mansion and its surrounding grounds for clues that explain both Diego’s fate and the disaster that brings the group there. Environmental investigation drives the experience: players examine unsettling locations, connect fragments of the house’s history, and gradually uncover the link between the accident, past violence, and the creature stalking the property. Direct confrontation is not the focus; survival depends on awareness, careful movement, and escaping the bloodthirsty presence whenever it closes in. The first-person perspective and Unreal Engine presentation aim to make narrow interiors, shadowed corridors, and the hostile woods feel immediate rather than merely decorative.

Hidden Shelter leans into classic indie horror strengths: a compact mystery, a vulnerable protagonist, and a monster whose threat keeps exploration from becoming routine. Its central premise has shades of haunted-house thrillers and escape-driven horror games such as Outlast, though the emphasis here lies on piecing together a personal tragedy instead of simply enduring a chase. The narrative’s focus on brotherhood, guilt, and love gives the supernatural material a more emotional foundation than a straightforward monster hunt.
