Kung Fury: Street Rage draws on the cult short film’s time-travelling, Nazi-smashing universe, sending Kung Fury and his equally absurd allies against Hitler’s endless supply of goons. The mood is knowingly ridiculous rather than grim, with pixel-art skylines, booming synth-driven music, and dialogue that treats VHS-era machismo as sacred comedy. It plays like a lost cabinet game from an alternate timeline where the 1980s never ended.

Combat revolves around quick directional inputs as enemies rush in from both sides of the screen. Timing matters more than complex combos: strike left or right at the right moment, keep a chain alive, and avoid letting the crowd overwhelm you. Runs are built around chasing higher scores and longer streaks while different playable characters bring their own attacks, animations, and flavor to the chaos. Hackerman’s practice-focused material helps newcomers get comfortable with the rhythm, but the real challenge comes from surviving faster waves without dropping concentration.

What makes Street Rage work is its commitment to a single joke and its willingness to push that joke to maximum volume.
